lovely image, love the design of both characters, and the posture of the "bear".
Would love to see a bit more fuchsia and green in it.
also the "bear' looks like he's wearing a hoody. Incorporate his outer fur to his face if that's not the case.

Thank you. I really appreciate your feedback!

I originally wanted a very simple cool colour palette with the only green to be a spec of grass, but as the piece progressed, it just kept growing!! Now that the image has a little more warmth and colour, I agree it looks a bit purple heavy and could use some colour balance. I'll look into some adjustments!

Haha and yeah, I can see the hoody look, which was deliberate. The Mountain Oongha (AKA The "Frost Bear"), was intended to have a sort of light, children's space-alien-poofy-astronaut appeal, so I left his little blueish face, eyes, and nose open with a big furry mouth to enhance that familiar, but otherworldly feel, and to be reminiscent of an astronaut's helmet. I found he looked too bear-like with the all-fur face and too ape-like with the all-skin face for what I was going.... But I do appreciate the suggestion. :)

Ok, so it was on purpose! I like it like that honestly, it's a nice touch.
And loving it all overall :) you nailed the "light, children's space-alien-poofy-astronaut appeal"
Just thought i would dig a bit since you asked for a critique :)

Of course! I really do appreciate the critique and feedback! I hope I didn't seem defensive. Text is so hard to read tone. ;) Super glad you like it and thanks again for your comments! Not that I don't appreciate favs or comments like "cool!", but it means a lot that you took the time to write something personal, thoughtful, and helpful!!

No kidding! I always thought that was a weird requirement. I can understand that it's to deter short, unhelpful crits, but forcing 350 is really difficult. I've seen so many more crits that just have filler stuff, which completely defeats the point of an effective critique. Critiques don't have to be long, just honest and hopefully constructive... Both of which you acheived in far less than 350 characters! Thanks again for taking the time to do so!
